CYPRESS GARDENS - FLORIDA

We grow a variety of plants in our garden. Some make it, some don't. But in Florida, it's very hard to know anything about gardening because seasons vary from year to year, and "northern" tips very often don't apply here. There grow many vegetables in winter and some fruit trees fruit when they feel like it. Sometimes, it's in the Spring. Other times, it's in the Fall. You just never know. I think there's always an element of surprise. So it's quite a challenge knowing what to grow where and when. But what a beautiful garden you can see in Florida, that is incredible.

THE BIRD OF SPRING

THE BIRD OF SPRING

An extraordinary event is taking place at this very moment in New York, involving millions of visitors. It is the annual spring bird migration, and this weekend it starts a monthlong explosion in which scores of species in dazzling plumage may be seen in many locations.

The change from winter to spring occurred in Manhattan last week. March went out like a lamb and April showers arrived right on cue.
